Description
Description

Marguerite Daisy (Argyranthemum jacobaeifolium) is a perennial flowering plant appreciated for its abundant, cheerful blooms and finely divided foliage. Its daisy-like flowers feature a bright yellow central disk surrounded by white, pink, or pale yellow petals, creating a crisp, classic look. The blooms are produced in profusion on branching stems above airy, fern-like green leaves that add a soft texture to the plant’s overall form.

Native to the Canary Islands, it naturally thrives in sunny, coastal environments and rocky slopes, where it benefits from mild temperatures and well-drained soils. Sometimes simply called marguerite or Paris daisy, it is valued for its long flowering season, often extending from spring into autumn, and its ability to attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Beyond its ornamental appeal, its mounded habit and prolific blooms make it an excellent choice for borders, containers, and mass plantings, bringing brightness and charm to a wide range of garden settings.
