Description

The Matera Bed is a clean lined wooden bed frame with beveled edges, running match grain, open board bases, mortise-and-tenon corner joints, and optional side drawers. Designed by Sean Yoo in 2007 during his stay in Matera, Italy, the Matera Bed is meant to imbue the common household bed frame with sculptural qualities that gives it greater purpose and meaning.

The Matera Bed (Queen Size) has a length of 83.25” (211 cm), width of 64.75” (164 cm), headboard height of 38” (97 cm), and platform height of 14” (36 cm). The Matera Bed drawers have a width of 26.375” (67 cm). The top mattress surface of the Matera Bed has a typical height of 24” (61 cm) from the floor if a 10” (25 cm) modern mattress is used.
