Simple sculptural qualities found in common household items became the representation of the Matera Storage Bench. Because benches aren’t typically anything special, Sean wanted to turn something meaningless, into something with purpose. Exposed mortise-and-tenon corner joints crafted the wood grain that joined the storage door underneath the seating platform.
The Matera Storage Bench has an overall height of 15.25” (39 cm), lengths of 43.5” or 64.75" (111, 165 cm), and a depth of 17.5” (45 cm).
