Nikola Jokić is perhaps the rarest of basketball players with awards on either side of the Atlantic, including his home country — Serbia. Playing the center position for the Denver Nuggets, Nikola is also nicknamed “The Joker,” leads in the NBA and is the only European player having the most triple-doubles besides setting a record for the fastest triple-double. Teammates love him because he is self-deprecating and unselfish. He received a silver medal in the 2016 Rio Games Olympics and another silver medal when playing for the Serbian U-19 national basketball team. Besides being a two-time NBA All-Star, he has also won the Serbian Player of the Year award.
