Rodney Mullen is a retired American professional skateboarder who is regarded as the most influential street skateboarder in the history of skateboarding. He is sometimes referenced as the “Godfather of Street Skateboarding.” Rodney Mullen is also an entrepreneur, inventor, author, and public speaker. Rodney Mullen turned pro in 1980, at the age of 14. He is credited with inventing various tricks including the Flatground Ollie, Kickflip, Heelflip, and 360-Flip. Over the span of his career, he has won 34 out of 35 freestyle contests, losing only 1 freestyle contest. Rodney Mullen co-founded the Almost Skateboards company in 2002.
