Many people assume being tall in gymnastic sport is a disadvantage, but for the retired Russian gymnast Svetlana Khorkina, her tallness was helpful. She was nicknamed "diva" on the track and celebrated for her opinionated personality. Svetlana has competed in three summer Olympics and holds twenty World Championship medals and seven Olympic medals. She has also received an award at every World Artistic Gymnastic Championship. Svetlana became the first female gymnast to take home three all-around titles in 1997, 2001, and 2004 World Championships. She also received the Order of Honor in Russia for her achievements as the most successful female gymnast.
