Theresa May was the second female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. She is a member of the Conservative Party, and prior to becoming Prime Minister she was the UK’s longest serving Home Secretary. She was in power for three years, a chaotic period marred by Britain’s decision to leave the European Union in June 2016. Which still isn’t sorted. She resigned from the premiership in July 2019, to be succeeded by Conservative party politician Boris Johnson. Since retiring, she has been seen hiking in the Alpine hills with her husband, Phillip.
