Virgil Abloh is an American designer, entrepreneur, as well as DJ who has become widely recognized within the industry as the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear and chief executive officer of his label, Off-White. Virgil Abloh initially studied architecture, but became interested in the fashion industry after an internship with Fendi in 2009. Virgil Abloh’s fashion designs are known for their blend of streetwear with high fashion. His designs stand out for their use of quotation marks, zip-ties, capital letters, as well as barricade tape. Virgil Abloh has famously collaborated with Kanye West and IKEA. Virgil Abloh passed away from a rare form of cancer on November 28, 2021 at the age of 41.
