Description
Description

The Wirehaired Vizsla is a Hungarian hunting dog; they are great pointers and retrievers on land and water. Lean and robustly built, the breed makes an excellent multi-purpose pointing dog and a natural hunter. The coat is wiry, dense and water-repellent, and it is a russet to golden sand color. Other features are their pronounced eyebrows and a harsh beard along the sides of the muzzle. The Wirehaired Vizsla requires attention, exercise, and interaction, as they enjoy being challenged mentally and physically. As companion dogs, they can be gentle-mannered, loyal, caring, and affectionate.
