Anna Kournikova, born June 7, 1981, is a retired Russian tennis player and American television personality. Her celebrity status made her one of the best known tennis players worldwide. While Kournikova has never known a singles title, she reached No. 8 in the world in 2000. She has had greater success playing doubles with her partner Martina Hingis, and Kournikova was at times the No. 1 player. Together they referred to themselves as the “Spice Girls of Tennis”. Kournikova retired from tennis at the age of 21, and she resides in Miami Beach, Florida with singer Enrique Iglesias.
