The Apple iPad (4th Gen) is a tablet computer in the iPad line featuring improved hardware capabilities and retina display. It was released in 2012, having functionalities that existed in the Apple iPad (3rd Gen) plus others like lightning connector, various connectivity and storage options of up to 128GB. The Apple iPad (4th Gen) also supported five previous major releases of iOS and was tested and found to perform tasks twice as fast when compared to its predecessors.
