Description
Description

The release of the Apple iPhone 5 came with significant visual redesign. It was taller, thinner, had an aluminum back instead of glass, and was available in a color combination of either white/silver or black/slate. It marked the first time changes were made to the screen dimensions since the original iPhone, making space for more app icons to be displayed on the home screen. Pre-orders for the iPhone 5 sold twenty times faster than any of the prior models. It also featured Apple’s decision to change to a different dock connector coined, “Lightning,” which was met with mixed response as this switch caused accessory compatibility issues.
