Description

Former American field and track athlete Carl Lewis was a dominant sprinter and long jumper who dominated the long jumps, 100 meters, and 200 meters. He holds the world record for indoor long jump, defending an Olympic long jump, and ten World championships. Carl holds nine Olympic gold medals and one Olympic silver medal. His success has made him voted as the "Olympian of the Century," "Sportsman of the Century," and "World Athlete of the Century." Besides, he was named three times as "Athlete of the Year," and among three athletes who took gold medals in four consecutive Olympic games. Carl has been admitted into the Texas Track and Field Coaches Association Hall of Fame and the New Jersey Hall of Fame.
