Christina Aguilera is an American singer known for her powerful vocals. She was a child star and appeared as part of the Mickey Mouse Club alongside Britney Spears. She went on to release her self-titled debut album in 1999, cementing her place as a prominent figure of the teen pop scene. She sought to gain artistic control of her image with her second album Stripped, which was considered controversial at the time. Stripped spawned several top hits, including Fighter, Can’t Hold Us Down and Beautiful. Personally, it was my favourite album of the early 2000s. Christina Aguilera also starred in the 2010 film Burlesque and has been a coach on six seasons of The Voice.
