George Michael is a British singer and songwriter. He rose to fame in the 1980s as part of the band Wham! They enjoyed several top hits including Wake Me Up Before You Go-go and the seasonal Last Christmas. He released his debut solo album in 1987 to critical and commercial success. His solo hits include Faith, Father Figure and Careless Whisper. His collaboration with Elton John in 1993, Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me, was a transatlantic number one. He performed his final concert at London’s Earl’s Court in 2012 and sadly died four years later, in 2016.
