Kieran Read is a rugby union player from New Zealand but currently plays in the Japanese top league for Toyota Verblitz. He was once the All Blacks captain and influential in helping his country win the 2011 and 2015 Rugby World Cups and the Super Rugby title for the Crusaders. Kieran has played as a blindside flanker and has scored twenty-six tries, and was once one of the most capped players with multiple World Cup wins. He is a seven-time Freedom Cup winner, five-time Dave Gallaher Trophy holder, eleven-time Bledisloe cup winner, three-time New Zealand Player of the Year, and a World Player of the Year.
