Lady Gaga is an American actress and singer. She was born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, but chose the stage name Lady Gaga when she launched her music career. She wrote and sang from an early age, and signed a record deal in 2007, releasing the top selling album, The Fame, a year later. She has won a total of nine grammys and is one of the best-selling musicians in the world. She has recently embarked on an acting career, receiving critical acclaim for her role opposite Bradley Cooper in the 2018 film, A Star is Born. She won an Academy Award for Shallow, a song from the film.
