Richard M. Nixon served as the 37th president of the United States from 1969 until 1974 and was a member of the Republican party. He also served as vice-president from 1953 to 1961 who gained national attention as the representative and senator of California. During his presidency, Richard M. Nixon worked towards ending U.S. fighting within Vietnam. Most famously, Richard M. Nixon became the only President in history to resign from the presidential role due to the Watergate Scandal. Members of his administration offices also resigned during this time. Richard M. Nixon passed away on April 22, 1994 at the age of 81.
