Sten Floor Lamp

Dimensioned drawings of the Sten Floor Lamp measuring heights, widths, and depths in plan and elevation views

The Sten Floor Lamp is designed with a heavy stone base, and a thin bent tube that ends with a small domed shade at the end. Designed by Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn from Norm Architects in 2016, the lamp was inspired through a focus on form, tactility, and technology. The Sten Floor Lamp is constructed with a black or white marble base, and a lightweight cylindrical metal arm and thin metal shade that also comes in either black or white finishes. The base has a knob designed for easy adjustment, and is reminiscent of the Arco Floor Lamp.

The Sten Floor Lamp has an overall height of 79.5" (202 cm).

Floor lamps are tall freestanding light fixtures that can be easily rearranged within a space. Typically supported by a tall pole inserted into a weighted base, floor lamps are commonly used in residential settings as an essential and functional component of a living room or reading room layout.
