Elevation and plan drawings of the CH36 Chair with dimensions

In 1962, Danish designer Hans J. Wegner of Carl Hansen & Søn introduced the famed CH36 Side Chair. An expertly crafted balance of lightness, elegance, sturdiness, and durability, this classic mid-century modern side chair is Wegner’s reinterpretation of Shaker Craftsmanship, a style known for its reflection of traditional values and simplicity in materiality and form. The CH36 Side Chair comes in a choice of solid Lacquered beech or oiled oak wood frame and is finished with a handwoven paper cord seat. This slender-framed rustic side chair would fair well in a restaurant, as a dining room set, or simply on its own.

The CH36 Chair has an overall height of 32” (81 cm), width of 20.5" (52.1 cm), and depth of 19” (48 cm). The seat height of the CH36 Chair is set at 17.75” (45 cm).
