He owned and ran the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Park in Oklahoma, where he kept a variety of animals, and in particular a great number of tigers. He loved his tigers, and claimed they were his friends. He also claimed to be the most prolific tiger breeder in the United States. However, in 2019 Joe was found guilty of animal abuse and attempted murder.
