Neo is the main character in the Matrix film series.  Neo works in The Matrix as a computer programmer unaware he is living in a simulated reality. He is contacted by Trinity, who introduces him to Morpheus, a Zion operative. They convince Keanu to take the red pill, which disconnects Neo’s mind from The Matrix, and forces him to wake up in the real world where the Machine War is raging.  Neo is the One, the person who will save humankind from the Matrix and end the War. Neo is played by Keanu Reeves.
