Description
Description

The Western Bluebird (Sialia mexicana) is a small songbird with a bright blue plumage on its upper side, orange breast, and gray underbelly. The song of the Western Bluebird is similar to a cheer, that it uses to mate. This helps a male find its mate in a dense forest and claim its territory to other males. The Western Bluebird is native to the western United States and also Mexico. It is typically found in forests, farmlands, and even deserts. It has a gently look, but this songbird will defend its territory ferociously. The Western Bluebird feeds on grasshoppers, caterpillars, ants, wasps, and berries.
