Cutting Boards

Cutting Boards, also known as Chopping Boards, are stiff and durable boards that are used in kitchen settings to cut food into smaller portions. Cutting Boards are used to help in the preparation of food like cutting raw ingredients. Cutting Boards are durable surfaces and can withstand daily use with Kitchen Knives. Cutting Boards are most commonly made of wood, but can also be crafted from glass, steel, or marble. Cutting Boards vary in size and are often rectangular or circular. Cutting Boards should be cared for adequately to avoid cross-contamination of food.
You can clean a cutting board adequately by considering the type of material the cutting board is made from. Clean wood cutting boards with dish soap and hot water and store them upright to air dry. Clean a plastic cutting board with lemon juice and baking soda, then rinse it and dry it with a towel.
Take care of a cutting board by making sure to disinfect it regularly and washing it to prevent cross-contamination during the food preparation process. You should also take into consideration the type of material your cutting board is made out of and take care of it accordingly.
A butcher's block is a heavy chopping block that is typically laminated with hardwood and is intended to be used for heavy-duty tasks. Butcher’s blocks are usually made of hard maple, teak, birch, or walnut and are made either with end grain or edge grain styles.
