Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. is a Chinese technology company based in Shenzhen, Guandong in China. Huawei was founded in 1987 by Ren Zhengfei, and initially specialized in phone switches. Huawei manufactures telecommunications equipment and sells consumer electronics like smartphones. Huawei is the world’s largest telecom equipment producer and China’s largest telephone network equipment producer. Huawei has over 1,500 networks that are able to reach more than 3 billion people, one third of the world’s population. Huawei’s line of products includes the Huawei Watch GT, Huawei Honor Band 4, Huawei WIFI Cube, Huawei Earphone, Huawei Power Bank, Huawei Pen, and Huawei Nova 3.

The types of products that Huawei produces include smartphones, PC, tablets, wearable devices as well as device cloud services. Other Huawei products are mobile and fixed broadband networks, smart TVs, and its Harmony Operating System. Huawei’s products are available in more than 170 countries and regions.
Huawei was founded on September 15, 1987. Huawei was founded by Ren Zhengfei, who was formerly a Deputy Regimental Head in the People’s Liberation Army. In its beginning, Huawei was initially only a manufacturer of phone switches and later expanded its business both within and outside of China.
In the USA, Huawei has been banned from working with companies like Google, Qualcomm, Intel as well as other companies. Huawei’s smartphones are no longer pre-installed with the traditional Google Suite range of applications. The ongoing ban has changed how Huawei creates and releases smartphones. Phones previously released before the ban are not affected.
