Spice & Condiment Containers

Spice & Condiment Containers are containers that hold and preserve different types of spices and condiments. Spice & Condiments are typically kept in sets and are placed nearby where food is cooked for easy handling. Spice & Condiment Containers need to have a form and construction that keeps spices and condiments from being perishable. Typically, Spice & Condiment Containers are small to help extend the lifespan of spices. Smaller containers limit the amount of air, light, and moisture that can ruin the spice and condiment. Spice & Condiment Containers are crafted from different materials and are often reusable and refillable.
The standard size for a spice container is usually 2 inches in diameter and 5 inches tall, but the size of a spice jar varies by its manufacturer. There is currently no set standard for the size of a spice jar. Spice containers are also available in half-size containers that stack neatly on top of one another.
A salt shaker typically has 3 holes or even more at times because it is one of the most common spices, but it is often debated how many holes a salt shaker should have. Salt Shakers have more holes to improve the flow of salt and have more holes than a pepper shaker.
Spices should be stored within opaque, airtight containers that are then placed in a cool place. Spices can also be placed within glass jars with tight-fitting lids if they will be placed within a cupboard. Spices that are stored within ideal conditions have greater longevity, flavor, and fragrance.
