Sports Equipment

Sports equipment refers to the various gear and tools which are required for individuals or sporting teams to use when participating in a game. Sports equipment varies significantly between game types and can include balls, rackets, vehicles, footwear, and training attire that athletes and players use to make competitions more enjoyable and safe. Technology has also revolutionized sports equipment to include protective gear that can prevent injuries in a games—with some games prohibiting players from participating without the required equipment. Augmenting the required gear, wearables have also grown in usage in sports with athletes being able to measure and deliver performance data that can be monitored and improved upon to achieve peak athletic performance.

Cornhole Boards

Cornhole Boards are the angled targets used for scoring points in a game of cornhole. Placed at a regulation cornhole distance of 27' (8.23 m) from front to front, players from each team throw their cornhole bags at the platforms in an attempt to land the bag successfully on top, or even better, through the center hole. Cornhole manufacturers produce boards most commonly out of wood or plastic.

Regulation Cornhole Boards have a width of 2' (61 cm) and length of 4' (122 cm). The cornhole hole at the upper center of board for measures 6” (15.24 cm) in diameter and has a center located 9” (23 cm) from the top of the board. The surface of a cornhole platform is slightly angled at 10° starting from the bottom. Cornhole boards have a front height of 4” (10.2 cm) and rise to a top point of 12” (30.5 cm).

Ice Hockey Goals are placed on each end of the Ice Hockey Rink and are used for scoring points in a game of Ice Hockey. To score a goal, the entire hockey puck must cross the goal that is being defended by the goalie (goaltender). Ice Hock Goals are constructed of bent tubed steel and a net to catch any made shot.

For professional ice hockey, the opening of the goal is 72” (180 cm) wide, 48” (120 cm) high, and has a depth of 40” (100 cm). This opening is held rigid by a metal tube frame that is roughly 2” (5 cm) in diameter and is enclosed by mesh net with an opening size of 1 5/8” (4.1 cm). The base of the goal is rounded with 18" (45.7 cm) radii and an overall width of 88” (223.5 cm).

It is where the Baseball Pitcher pitches the ball towards the batter. The pitcher stands at its center on the pitcher’s rubber. The Five-Pin Pin Deck in Five-Pin Bowling is the spacing between the 5 pins that create its ‘V’ formation and layout. Every pin has a heavy rubber band around its middle section that causes them to move further when struck by the Five-Pin Bowling Ball. Each of the 5 pins is worth a different scoring point value.

The headpin at the center is worth 5 points, the pins at both sides are worth 3 points each, and the pins at the ends are worth 2 points each. Together the five pins have a worth of 15 points in each frame.
