Description

The Bharal (Pseudois nayaur) or Blue sheep is found on the Tibetan plateau. It is medium-sized with a stocky body. The shoulders and chest are robust and the legs stout. Males are larger than females. The coat of the Bharal is dense and can be blue sheen or slate gray while the underpart is white. A charcoal-colored strip separates his back and belly color on the sides. The front part of the leg is black, while the back part is white. It has small ears and grows ridged horns on the upper surface. You will mostly find it in groups and feed on dry grass or alpine grass.
