Description
Description

You can find the Common Duiker (Sylvicapra grimmia) south of the Sahara desert. Even so, its geographical range excludes the central, western parts and the Horn of Africa. This is in the savannah or hilly areas with enough vegetation cover. Its coat color can be chestnut, grizzled gray, or brown. Males have spiked horns that are heavily grooved at their bases. This antelope is well adaptable to different diets and is considered a generalist feeder, not only eating leaves and fruits but also insects and frogs. The common duiker also forms monogamous pairs, but males would show territorial behaviors.
