Its common habitats range from mountains to valleys, living in the treetops and utilizing its tail and toes to grip onto branches. Its most prominent feature is a cone-like growth called a casque located on its neck that acts as a water catcher. It typically has a blue-green coloration with color changes occurring due to reproduction, stress, etc. The brightness of its color is also dependent on the sex of the chameleon as well as its social status.
