The unique zebra-like stripes on the gold or red-brown coats of the Zebra Duiker (Cephalophus zebra) make them easily identifiable in the area it is found. This is in counties such as Liberia, Ivory Coast, and Sierra Leone. The upper part of the legs have dark markings while the face is reddish brown. It prefers hilly forest habitats and some communities call it the striped-black duiker or banded duiker. The body is short and muscular. The limbs are short as well. It also has a pair of short, rounded horns. It is a solitary animal that prefers to browse on fruits, leaves, and stems.
