Personal Printers
Personal Printers are printing devices that are made for the individual user’s needs and can handle casual every use. Personal Printers are usually inexpensive and can help users print work, school, and personal documents. The first low-cost laser printer was not introduced until 1984, being the HP LaserJet printer. Personal Printers are often connected only to a single computer and produce low-volume and short-turnaround jobs. Some types of Personal Printers can also print documents from memory cards, digital cameras, or scanners. Personal Printers don’t require a lot of time to set up, but are slower than Commercial Printers, only printing 6 to 25 pages per minute.
The most common type of personal printer is the Inkjet printer. The Inkjet printer works by spraying droplets of ink into paper. Inkjet printers are typically inexpensive home printers that can provide high-quality prints at a moment’s notice. Inkjet printers can also print on a large variety of print media.
Personal photo printers were specifically made to print on extremely white photo paper that is coated to keep the ink from smearing. Photo printers can support different sizes of photo paper, but some only support the standard photo print sizes. Photo printers can produce high-quality prints for photographers of all skill levels.
You can print without an internet connection by connecting to the printer through a USB connection or a wired network. By making sure you have the drivers for the printer and making sure the printer is accessible to the network you should be able to print without an internet connection.
