Description
Description

In the North Savanna from Senegal to the Nile, the Giant or Derby Eland (Taurozugus Derbianus) lives in forests filled with the widest leaves of the Doka tree. Giant Eland is herbivores which means they consume fruit, leaves, and branches. They typically enter tiny groups of 15-25 when traveling. Giant Elands are not territorial, and they have a wide range of homes. Naturally, they are cautious and vigilant which makes them difficult to approach. They are quick and can run up to 70 km/h (43mph) which makes speed a viable option rather than using their horns for defense against predators.
