Samsung Galaxy Note8 (2017)

Dimensioned drawings of the Samsung Galaxy Note8 with height, width, and depth labeled in elevation

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is a member of the Galaxy Note Series of “phablets” as the successor to the discontinued and recalled Galaxy Note 7. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was introduced in August 2017 with the slogan “do bigger things.” The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 boasts a dual back camera system for the first time in Samsung history.

Different from its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 actually has a smaller battery as conservative move to avoid the whole “catching fire” issue with the Galaxy Note 7. Therefore, the battery life was a main point of contention for critics, as well as, the uncomfortable location of the finger print scanner.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a height of 6.4" (162.5 mm), width of 2.94” (74.8 mm), depth of .34” (8.6 mm), and weighs 6.9 oz (195 g). The screen size is 6.3" (160 mm) diagonal with a resolution of 2960 x 1440 px at 521 ppi.
