Building Foundations
Building Foundation is the building element that connects any structure to the ground while also transferring the loads from the structure to the ground. A Building Foundation effectively distributes the weight of a building over a large area, anchors the structure against natural forces, provides a level surface for construction, anchors a structure deep into the ground, and prevents lateral movement of the structure. The types of Building Foundations include shallow foundations, deep foundations, and monopile foundations. Building Foundations are often made of concrete. The design of Building Foundations varies based on the requirements of the structure and location of the building.
