The Postmates Serve is an autonomous delivery bot developed by Postmates to deliver food orders to its customers. The Postmates Serve made its debut in 2019 in Los Angeles, California. The Postmates Serve can deliver food directly to customers or take food orders from a congested restaurant area to a Postmates dispatch hub from where a driver can then finish delivering the food order.
It is able to drive on sidewalks alongside pedestrians and go around fire hydrants. The Postmates Serve uses sensors to know where it is, has an interactive touch screen to communicate, is all-electric, and has a 50 lb. (22.7 kg) storage capacity.
