9 year olds are children who are still in grade school. Most 9 year olds are either in third or fourth grade. When children are 9 years old they begin to be more coordinated and have started to understand right from wrong. 9 year olds also begin to seek approval from their peers and may start sharing their emotions with their parents. Academically, 9 year olds are capable of writing stories with multiple paragraphs with neater handwriting than at younger years.
