Front elevation drawings of Ghostface from the Scream horror film series

Ghostface is the primary villain of the Scream series of movies and television. However, Ghostface is not one person. While the costume remains the same, a white rubber mask stylized after Edvard Munch’s painting The Scream, a long black cloak with jagged edges, and a bloody eight inch hunting knife, the people using it to commit murder changes. Ghostface frequently calls his victims, sometimes using a voice changer to hide their identity, to taunt them and threaten them before murdering them. Ghostface is a human under the disguise, and yet, he displays supernatural abilities such as extreme durability to harm, superhuman strength, and an uncanny level of stealth.

Ghostface, portrayed by Skeet Ulrich in Scream (1996), is 5 foot 10 inches (1.78 m) tall.
