Hannibal Lecter is the main character in a series of books and movies, the best-known being Silence of the Lambs. Hannibal Lecter is a forensic psychiatrist in Baltimore, as well as, a cannibalistic serial killer. In the first two books, Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal Lecter is the villain, but in the last two he is the protagonist and antihero. After being captured by the FBI, he assists them in capturing other serial killers. The books have been adapted into films, some by the same names, some not, as well as, a TV series Hannibal.
