Mat Hoffman is an American BMX rider known for being one of the best vert ramp riders in the history of the sport. Mat Hoffman started riding at the age of 11 years old and learned to ride BMX in his own. He is regarded as helping build the sport throughout the decades and support to other well-known BMX riders. Mat Hoffman was the first person to ride an oversized ramp in 1993. He has also produced, directed, and hosted several TV series for ESPN and has been involved in different film projects. Mat Hoffman retired in 2003.
