Description

Rem Koolhaas is one of the of the world’s most famous architects. He was born in Rotterdam in 1944 and founded OMA in 1975. He is known for his novel approach to architecture; he does not have an overarching aesthetic but instead responds to each brief dependent on context.

His most famous buildings include the Qatar National Library, Fondazione Prada in Milan, Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow and the Seattle Central Library. In 2014 he directed the Venice Architectural Biennale. Koolhaus is also a Professor of Architecture at Harvard University.
