Shawn Mendes was born in Pickering, Canada, in 1998. He rose to fame by posting musical covers on YouTube, where he was discovered by, and later signed to Island Records. His first three albums all debuted on the Billboard Top 100, making him the youngest artist ever to do so. He has so far headlined four world tours and received numerous musical accolades. In 2019 he launched the Shawn Mendes foundation, which aims to help young people by supporting various causes.  He is the face of Canadian fast food chain, Tim Hortons.
