According to Pickleball Global rankings and World Pickleball Federation (WPF), America’s Tyson McGuffin ranks number one in men’s pro singles, number three in men’s doubles, and number two in mixed doubles. He is also the most recognized and accomplished pickleball player in the world. Tyson started as a wrestler before switching to playing and coaching tennis, then to pickleball, and winning the Grand Slam four times in Men’s Open Singles. In his first USA Pickleball Association (USAPA) Nationals tournament, he won silver in the Men’s Open Single. He has also won the Grand Slam in Men’s Open Doubles and four National Championships.

Pickleball is a net sport where individuals use paddles to hit a ball over a net until the ball falls either out of court or is missed. Played on a small court, the perforated polymer ball is served underhanded over a lowered net and is then hit after the first bounce by the opposing team.
