The Ultimaker 2 Extended+ is a 3D printer that is user-friendly and efficient. It is very similar to the Ultimaker 2+ with the same features: a geared feeder, a swappable nozzle with 0.25mm, 0.4mm, 0.6mm, and 0.8mm options, and fancaps. It has more height than the Ultimaker 2+ which allows for the production of bigger models and prototypes.

The Ultimaker 2 Extended+ has a physical outer height of 19.2” (48.8 cm), width of 13.5” (34.2 cm), and depth of 14” (35.7 cm). The overall build volume is 12” (30.5 cm) tall, 8.8” (22.3 cm) wide, 8.8” (22.3 cm) deep, and has a layer resolution between 20-600 microns.

A 3D Printer is a square or rectangular machine which is able to create 3D objects out a variety of materials. An object is first modeled in a 3D program, and then sent to the 3D printer. The printer then splices the 3D object into layers, and is able to print from the bottom of the base to the top.
