Captain America, real name Steve Rogers, is a superhero World War II super-soldier that appears prominently throughout many Marvel Comics. Granted Peak Human strength, speed, agility, reflexes, and accelerated healing due to the effects of the Super-Solider Serum, Captain America is a skilled combatant and also the moral compass and leader of the Avengers. Steve Rogers combines his superhuman abilities with an iconic vibranium shield to further his battle skills. Captain America was introduced by Marvel in Captain America Comics #1 in March, 1941.
