Pete Buttigieg is an American politician. He ran for the Democratic nomination for the President of the United States but ended his campaign in March 2020, publicly endorsing Joe Biden the following day. Before his Presidential campaign, Buttigieg served as Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, from 2012 to 2020. He was considered a fairly liberal Mayor who concentrated on new urban initiatives; he pushed forward several regeneration developments in the city. During his time as Mayor, Buttigieg took two leaves of absences to serve in the US navy. He is a multi-instrumentalist and can speak several languages.
