Sybill Trelawney is the divination teacher at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She is known for her eccentric behaviour and her large round glasses and flowing cloaks. She is not considered a good teacher; she is known for making false prophecies and making numerous death predictions at the beginning of the school year. She was hired as a teacher by Albus Dumbledore after going into a real trance during her interview and making a prophecy about the fate of Voldemort and Harry Potter.
