The Nintendo 64, N64, is a home video game console developed by Nintendo. It has a 64-bit central processing unit and was released in 1996. The Nintendo 64 was released with 3 games: Super Maria 64, Pilotwings 64, Saikyō Habu Shōgi that was exclusive to Japan. It is part of the fifth-generation of gaming devices placed in competition with Sony’s PlayStation and Sega Saturn. The most innovative feature at the time of its release was the console’s controller. It was the first commercially successful video game controller to feature an analog stick. The Nintendo 64 gaming console was discontinued in 2002.
