Luciana Aymar’s dribbling skills, speed, and pace of beating opponents garnered her comparison with fellow Argentine Diego Maradona and the nickname “The Maradona of Field Hockey.” The retired field hockey player is the only eight-time Fédération Internationale de Hockey (FIH) Player of the Year besides being the best and greatest female hockey player alive. She took home the Platinum Konex Award and was honored by the International Hockey Federation as Legend of Hockey and Argentina’s flag bearer during several international games. Luciana is a twelve-time gold medalist, six-time silver medalist, six-time bronze medalist, and two-time World Cup Player of the Tournament.
