Christine Lagarde

Christine Lagarde is the President of the European Central Bank as of November 2019. She was born in Paris in 1956, and grew up in Le Havre alongside her three brothers. She has had several high profile financial posts in the French government, and was the first woman to become a finance minister of a G8 economy. Previous to her current role, she held the role of Chairman of the International Monetary Fund for eight years. She is considered one of the most powerful women in the world. She likes swimming, cycling and hiking.
